Our journey from Cape Reinga to Bluff

Te Araroa translates to "the long pathway". And long it is - In fact, it's one of the longest trail's in the world.
It is a continuous 3,000 km walking track from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Te Araroa connects settlements, townships and cities.
It has approximately 10% of road walking, with the rest of the trail in the bush or on farmland, and it passes through 60 rural towns along the way.
Te Araroa generally takes hikers between 120-160 days, including a few rest days. It has been developed by a number of dedicated people (have a look on the website link below) and it is there for all to use and enjoy.
